Indian culture and its religions are famous through the world for its values and mysticism. One of the commonly known religions in India is Hinduism and is followed by most of the Indians. Approximately three fourth of the Indian population follow Hinduism which itself has many languages in it. Hinduism itself has people following languages diversely and never-ending arcade of gods and goddesses. This religion is one of the most ancient cultures of the man kind. Hinduism was evolved approximately five hundred years ago and later other sub casts were developed by the human beings.

After Hinduism, Buddhism came into existence around 510 BC.  During this time Buddha was worshipped by people. Around this time lord Mahavira gave birth to Jainism and followers of Jainism were defined. In India Jainism is .7% of the total Hindu crowd and .5% are the followers of Buddha. Ancient India was very famous for Buddhism and Jainism which showed a correct path to Hinduism. Buddhism was not only followed by Hindu Indians but spread all over the world in eastern and western kingdoms mainly.

Hinduism, Jainism and Buddhism were the pillars of evolution of religions and these religions gave birth to many sub religions and sub casts lately in India.

The youngest and the latest religion which came into existence in India was Sikhism it was emerged around fifteenth century around one fourth of the Indian population still follow Sikhism and is a religion to appreciate. In the medieval times there were many of them who tried developing different religions in India but they were in vain. Rulers like Akbar who tried creating a religion in fifteen fifties by starting Din-E-Elahi but this religion got extinct very soon. Some leaders tried to separate religions by castism but they all failed to do so. With Hinduism there was an emergence many Judaism and Christianity which is said to be evolved before it came to the European countries. With all this India was known as a treasure of all religions and had a god history of different religions and cultures.
